Parent Teachers' Association
St Brigid’s PTA is active in fund raising and pastoral care. They work closely with the School’s Board of Trustees to improve the school resources and to ensure the children and staff have a range of high quality teaching and learning tools.
This is done through a variety of fundraising activities such as raffles, quiz nights, fairs, auctions and Entertainment books – to name a few. Funds raised go towards a variety of resources including library books, learning materials - such as reading and mathematics resources, contributing to Swimsation costs, playground equipment, and up to date technology. The PTA also contributes financially to the annual Year 6 camp in Queenstown.
As part of our Pastoral care at each PTA meeting we start by identifying if there are any school families that may need support. Organising meals or baking to help in the short term is an example of what we do.
The PTA also organises family and social events such as take away evenings, Children’s Disco, book nights and special afternoon teas.
The PTA plays an extremely important role in the life of the school and the events it organises are of great value to the school and community. New members are always welcome.
