Find all the information you need to start your child's journey
As a State Integrated school with a Catholic Character, we have 2 kinds of enrollment, Preference Enrolment and Open Place Enrolment. Preference Enrolment is one which meets one of the Preference Criteria below. Open Place Enrolment is available for those who do not meet any of these criteria. We are always keen to hear from any family who wishes to send their child to St Brigid’s whether they meet the Preference Criteria or are looking for an Open Place.
Our Parish Priest, Fr Gerard Aynsley, will need to sign your enrolment to indicate whether you will be enrolling as a Preference Enrolment or an Open Place Enrolment.
Contact us to meet the Parish Priest about getting your enrolment forms signed.
Only one of these criteria should apply to the child you wish to enrol.
The child has been baptised or is being prepared for baptism in the Catholic Church.
The child's parents / guardians have already allowed one or more of its siblings to be baptised in the Catholic faith.
At least one parent / guardian is a Catholic, and although their child has not yet been baptised, the child's participation in the life of the school could lead to the parents having the child baptised.
With the agreement of the child's parent/guardian, a grandparent or other significant adult in the child's life, such as an aunt, uncle, or godparent, undertakes to support the child's formation in the faith and practices of the Catholic Church.
One or both of a child's non-Catholic parents/guardians is preparing to become a Catholic.
